Biography
Nataly Maier is born in 1957 in Munich (D).
Her experience with the art world has always been a travel both physical – from Germany to Italy – and conceptual – through different styles, until the landing place to painting.
Color’s studying, technology and dexterity are some of her works’ recurring elements. After a beginning in photography, signed by studies on the relationship between photographed and painted colors, the german artist dedicated her experiences on colors, detaching from a figurative representation toward abstraction.
In all her entire artistic career she has proceeded through dual structures, one more abstract and the other more materic.
The Irish experience in Bellycastle, born from the Ballinglen Art Foundation scholarship in 2010/2012, contributed to her most recent works.
She lives and works in Starnberg (D) and in Milan (I).
